The Mahindra XUV500 went through its second facelift in 2018 which enhanced the degree of its premium-ness by few notches. The design is well inspired by a Cheetah which gives it a stunning look as a whole. However, all the good-looking designs, features with a fascinating performance, which are its main source of strength, are quite the same– still the changes are noticeable.
Talking about its exterior, the design changed in its grille structure looks more upmarket due to being adorned with chrome elements replacing the previous vertical ducts which used to look like fang. The smart and sensible usage of chrome on top and bottom of the grille with chrome insert in one side of the fog lights extending up to the headlamps definitely needs some admiration. The headlights get DTR LED that is complemented by the chrome strip run on the top of the grille. From the side profile, there is no changes except the 18-inch dual tone alloy wheel with a loud wheel arches give it a sporty appeal. The chrome lining along the side cladding gives it a more contemporary look. At the rear, the classy chrome shaded tailgate and the split tail lamps leave a sophisticated impression of the rear. Overall with all the changes in design in its exterior, it looks a bit superior than the outgoing model.
Moving to the interior, the design of being an all-black dashboard is still remained the same. However, it has now been draped with leather which looks more premium along with the central console which is now with a finishing of piano black. It is now with luxurious quilted tan leather seats with all those diamonds cut stitches enhance the esthetic of the interior the most. The 6-way power adjustable driver seat will make you give the utmost comfortable driving experience.
The features it comes with are numerous and make you ride easy and smooth. In addition to that, you get a tilt and telescopic adjustment of the steering wheel for the maximum comfort while driving. The FATC system with dual HVAC doesn’t let you get worried of the temperature control as it calibrates itself well according to the outside temperature. You get the cruise control and audio control buttons on the steering wheel within the reach of your finger tip. You will get enough utility spaces to keep your belongings. The glove box has a laptop holder which is easy for keeping your stuff in an organized way.

The rear parking camera enables you not to get worried of parking the vehicle in a crowded place as you can see the back clearly as while parking back.
Talking about its performance and upgradation made, the facelift model of XUV500 is now with 2.2 L mHAWK engine that produces a power output of 155 Bhp and a torque of 360 Nm at 1750-2800 rpm in diesel version whereas in the petrol variant, the power is 140 Bhp with 320 Nm of torque at 2000-3000 rpm. The efficiency is more than the previous facelift model. It has a 6-speed manual and automatic transmission system in its diesel variant whereas in petrol variant it is only the 6-speed AT which will let you allow to get a good grip on its powerful engine.
After considering all its offerings and services, it is reasonably priced starting from Rs 12.39 lakh to Rs 19.05 lakh.
With its facelift, it has made its stance visible by uplifting and modifying the design and features to make it the most performed and convenient XUV in its segment.
